Grade 1 Teachers as Classroom Managers

It is safe to claim that the Grade 1 teacher is a classroom manager. A grade 1 teacher has an extra responsibility to start things off on the right foot. He/she should be a well-rounded in all task, full of enthusiasm, energetic, patient and ready in all the circumstances that may occur along classroom activities.

To be a Grade 1 teacher is not a joke. There’s a lot of things to do like so much of mounted colorful pictures posted on the board or maybe real objects in every learning area to catch their attentions. He/she has more accountabilities compare to grade school teachers. Sometimes they are used to be a clown inside the classroom, a singer like no other, a funny dancer just to make them interested in the entire period of class. The worst case is that to be a babysitter when somebody is dying in crying, to be a janitor to polish the floor when one of the pupil urinate in his shorts, and to be a nurse when somebody is suddenly ill. It really one of the most difficult grade level to be taught.

To be a Grade 1 teacher is a supernatural being. You really need more strength and courage to keep your classroom under control. You have to be good most of the time or else they will not be in school on the following day. You have to act like their parents for them to love you. You have to be a role model to them, children are said to be imitators they will mimic most of your actions whether bad or good that’s why you have to be very careful. You have to set rules and remind them if needed to develop sense of responsibility among them. You have to balance your temper with the hyper-active pupils, give them appropriate activities just to make them stop. To make them read is the highest fulfillment of your career. Congratulations! For being a Grade 1 teacher, you are a certified classroom manager.
