Congratulations team Masbate City..

SDO Masbate City triumphs at 2025 Palarong Bicol, wins 3 special awards

The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Masbate City proved its excellence beyond the playing field after securing three special awards at the 2025 Palarong Bicol. The delegation was hailed as First Place – Most Organized Delegation, Second Place – Most Clean and Green Delegation, and Third Place – Most Disciplined Delegation, underscoring their commitment to organization, environmental responsibility, and discipline.

During the Closing Ceremony on March 29, 2025, plaques of recognition were received by Sir Gerard Leomel R. Estoquia, Division Sports Officer and SEPS for Social Mobilization and Networking; SGOD Chief Sir Gregorio A. Legal; and Sir Diobe Arellano. These accolades highlight that SDO Masbate City's delegation not only excelled in sports but also embodied strong values and character development throughout the competition.

The success of the delegation was largely attributed to the collaborative efforts of various committees, ensuring a well-coordinated and efficient delegation. The Kitchen Committee, chaired by Sir Silvestre Milloria and EPS Ma. Perla O. Reyes, played a crucial role in ensuring proper meal preparations for the athletes and coaches. The Prefect of Discipline, led by PSDS Sir Silvino B. Doctolero Jr., PSDS Sir Ramon S. Basas Jr., EPS Ma. Lyn R. Estoquia, SEPS Liz R. Liao, and Principal Sir Sofronio Arizala Jr, upheld order and discipline within the delegation. Furthermore, the Clean and Green Committee, spearheaded by school heads Ma’am Belinda J. Manalo, Sir Ronan C. Relova, Sir Albin John A. Lalaguna, and Sir Michael Cabataña, ensured that the delegation maintained an eco-friendly and clean environment throughout the event.

Meanwhile, logistical efficiency was secured by the Transportation Committee, under the leadership of Head Teacher Sir Rogen Esser Estrada and Sir Richard Yanson, while medical needs were expertly handled by Dra. Charito E. Estipona and her Medical Team.

Upholding student welfare, the Committee on Learner Rights Protection, led by PDO I Ma'am Sara B. Aguilar, reinforced policies that safeguarded the rights and dignity of learners, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the entire delegation.

Behind the scenes, the Secretariat, with Ms. Joan Evangelista, Ms. Hyacinth Kate Cañada, and Ms. Diane Quisumbing, played a crucial role in maintaining documentation and smooth communication, further reinforcing the delegation’s overall success.
